Authentic original early 1800’s Sioux Indian paddle handle dag knife. The blade is hammer forged, this blade undoubtedly has been cut down from a larger buffalo lance and re-purposed as a knife blade, a common practice in the old days. Original ash handle has a nice old Hudson’s Bay Company trade cross attached to the handle. Numerous hallmarks, FOX, HBC, HB, Fleur Des Lis, and sitting fox cartouche. Handle is tight and secure. 9″ blade and 17″ long total. This is a fine example of a Native American weapon of war and utilitarian object in one. If you have a question, please ask.
