Native American Basket Description and Item Information Up for sale is this Native American basket. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This basket stands approximately 3 inches tall and It is about 4 5/8 inches wide. It weighs 1.4 ounces, unpacked. In shades of brown and tan, the basket has diagonal stripe patterns woven into it. This basket will make a great addition to a collection of Native American artifacts. Identification This unsigned basket was made in northern California. It looks to be a Yurok piece based on style, quality, and design; however, Hupa and Karuk baskets have a similar construction style. The exact age of this vintage or antique piece is not known. Condition The basket looks good overall, as shown. As shown in Photo 6, there is a small damage area to the rim. The rim is as shown. Visible in Photo 5, there are some minor marks to one side that may be ink. The basket has no foul odors. Terms of Sale 1.
