Native American Cheyenne Eagle Blanket Coat by Ben Nighthorse Campbell Size XL
Native American Cheyenne Eagle Blanket Coat design by Ben Nighthorse Campbell. This is The Spirit Series, Cheyenne Eagle Blanket Coat by Ben Nighthorse Campbell, Size XL, and please see photos for labels. Because of the labels, I was able to do some research and found out about Ben Nighthorse Campbell. He was a USA Senator for Colorado, and. He serves as one of forty-four members of the Council of Chiefs of the Northern Cheyenne Indian Tribes. I contacted the old owner of the Native Jackets, etc. I also wrote to Mr. Campbell, and was contacted by his Chief of Staff, who happens to be his Business Partner, and he told me that the coat was made from a blanket that Mr. Campbell designed for Pendleton, as a fundraiser for the American Indian College Fund, to help Native American Indian children get into and through college. The coats design is of a traditional Cheyenne Eagle symbol, and was based on a Cheyenne Indian story, The Eagle, Elk and The Warrior, and the myth of the story involves an Eagle that is trapped on the ground by Elk horns, and a Warrior comes along and frees the Eagle, and the Eagle is grateful. He also said that Ben still wears one of these jackets. I certainly wish it would have fit me, but not my luck, but thats lucky for someone else!!! The Blanket Coat is made of 82% Wool & 18% Cotton, and lining is 100% Acetate. It is in good used condition; looks like it has never been worn, and does not smell. Approximately measurements are of the coat lying flat: Armpit to Armpit 27 inches, across side to side Back, top of collar, to bottom of coat 35 inches Outer sleeve, top of shoulder, to bottom of sleeve 27 ½ inches Shoulder to shoulder 21 inches, across side to side Bottom, side to side 26 inches. Please check the detailed description above for this items measurements & colors, I take my photos with a macro camera lens and it tends to make items look a little larger and lighting can distort actual colors. If listing says item is “Vintage, ” it means that this item was not recently made. I will not mark any package’s value less than the amount you have paid. However, in some situations this number only shows you that I mailed the package and that it was received and processed at a US Post Office. I insure all my packages through Stamps. If your package has not arrived, I ask you to please be patient & understanding, I do not make the rules, it’s their policy. Feel free to let me know that you have concern of your package’s arrival, but please remember that we have to give it the above mentioned time in order to file the claim and that I can not do any tracking from my end, I see the same thing you do. I will be happy to file a claim for any package that does not arrive or if it arrives damaged. This sculpture is in perfect condition. Bronze Dimensions with Marble Base:Height 12″ x Width 8″. Marble Dimensions: 5″ X 5″. Height without base: 10.5. This is an exquisite bronze bust of a Native American warrior chief. He stares at the beholder, wild and bold, with an air of spiritual resilience. His hair is adorned with braids that are wrapped with strips of deer hide coated with a turquoise patina. A long feather lost in the back of his hair stretches towards gravity also finished in a turquoise patina. He wears a bone breastplate which was a popular chest ornament or armor. Since the hair-pipe bones were difficult and expensive to obtain, the number of bones in the plate often indicated the wealth of a warrior. Such breastplates were worn on occasion in battle, but could be penetrated easily by an arrow or a bullet, so they were mainly a decorative or medicine item. The sculpture was molded using the archaic method of lost-wax casting with skin tones finished in a brown patina stain for perpetuation. The chief is mounted upon a black marble and is signed C. Virgin Islands, however, an additional charge may be required. The item “HUGE Indian Native American Art Chief Eagle Bust Bronze Marble Statue Sculpture” is in sale since Friday, March 8, 2019. Please use a tape measure. WANT TO CHANGE THE BACK GROUND OR FOREGROUND COLORS? NOT A PROBLEM. Please send me a message. This is a hand made oil painting. INDIAN CHIEF “eagle eye”. ART SIZE: 120cm x 120cm (47″ x 47″). With EXTRA 10cm painted black sides and edges. Medium: Oil On Canvas. Based Northern NSW, Australia. Signed on back of painting. All paintings considered original as none is ever “exactly” the same because they are all hand painted. I will make as good as pictured. Colours can be changed to suit. Drying time can take a maximum 10 days due to “oil paints” not acrylic paints. It’s very important you know when using oils you get much better results in colours, over acrylic which also fade in colour over time. I look forward into working with you on something special for your environment, I do not rush paintings and I do not paint on mass production. You will not find many artist that can paint up to size: 300cm x 160cm (118″ x 63″) this is my speciality as a young teen on the street of Melbourne, particularly the St Kilda area in 1990’s. Red Eagle Creek Indians American Indian WARS Native Americans Alabama. I have not surrendered myself thoughtlessly. Whilst there were chances of success, I never left my post, nor supplicated peace. But my people are gone, and now I ask it for my nation, and for myself. William Weatherford (Red Eagle). The story of Red Eagle, Creek Indian chief, is rare in that no other book is solely devoted to the history of the Creek War or the life of William Weatherford (or Red Eagle). Weatherford, an Indian general, led the Creeks into battle against the United States in the Creek War as part of the famous Indian Wars, influenced by Tecumseh. Eventually, Weatherford surrendered to Andrew Jackson and the American army which would become the start of the Indian Removal Act, forcing Indians in Alabama and Georgia to relocate to the Indian Territory. Bev Doolittle SEASON OF THE EAGLE Camoflauge-Indian-Native American-Alaska-Art

Bev Doolittle SEASON OF THE EAGLE Camoflauge-Indian-Native American-Alaska-Art
Here is your chance to get this magnificent print for a fantastic price!!! The image size is 21″w X 30 3/4″h. In the life of an Indian, every new day, every encounter with bird or beast, and everything he owned or wore had religious significance. The Indians prayed each day to the One-Who-Made-All-Things, the Crow Ah-badt-dadt-deah. Since all creatures were made by the Great Spirit, the Indian considered the animals and birds with whom he shared his home not only sacred, but brothers. Each creature had unique powers and skills and the Indians believed that God had placed them on the Mother Earth to teach them valuable lessons. The eagle embodied courage and speed, skills the Indians needed for successful war and hunting, and eagles were revered as messengers of the Great Spirit. In the highest passes of the Rocky Mountains, spring arrives late in the year. As the snow melts, swollen, rushing streams and rivers tell the Indians that passes to more fertile hunting grounds will be open. The melting snow patterns speak to the Indians also. These are messages from the Great Spirit. It is because of the Indians’ special reverence for the eagle that I have chosen to incorporate him into my most resent painting, Season of the Eagle. In a remote mountain valley where winter lingers into summer the Great Spirit sends messages of fair weather and good hunting on the wings of a mountain on the flight of a lake This is the Season of the Eagle. If you are a Bev Doolittle collector and do not have this print, here is your chance to get an absolutely beautiful print at a fantastic price.
