VINTAGE NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN STONE HEAD WAR CLUB AXE Mississippians Tribe
VINTAGE NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN STONE HEAD WAR CLUB AXE Mississippians Tribe. I will be posting Native American peace pipes soon from the Mississippians Tribe effigies of different animals. These Axe heads are 100% authentic I have collected for a very long time and now with the world as it is I must part with some precious stone axes. [3] The largest city was Cahokia, believed to be a major religious center. The Mississippian way of life began to develop in the Mississippi River Valley (for which it is named). Cultures in the tributary Tennessee River Valley may have also begun to develop Mississippian characteristics at this point. Almost all dated Mississippian sites predate 15391540 (when Hernando de Soto explored the area), [4] with notable exceptions being Natchez communities that maintained Mississippian cultural practices into the 18th century. ZUNI Inlay Necklace Sterling Silver Mixed Stone Thunderbirds Signed
Signed Native American Zuni inlaid Thunderbird’s necklace that is made out of Sterling Silver & Mixed stone inlay, with a hand made chain. On the backside of the large bird there is an etched signature mark that looks like L Viffi? The Necklace is in good used condition: the stones are not cracked or missing, markings are natural Matrix’s, the metal has an old patina that has happened from age & wear, and the hook clasp works perfectly. The Necklaces center pendant is approximately 2 1/2 inches tall from top to bottom, by 2 inches wide from side to side, the chain with the birds in the middle is about 20 1/2 inches long from end to end, and the total weight of the Necklace. Is 49.4 grams. Please check the detailed description above for this items measurements & colors, I take my photos with a macro camera lens and it tends to make items look a little larger and lighting can distort actual colors. If listing says item is “Vintage, ” it means that this item was not recently made. I will not mark any package’s value less than the amount you have paid. However, in some situations this number only shows you that I mailed the package and that it was received and processed at a US Post Office. I insure all my packages through Stamps. If your package has not arrived, I ask you to please be patient & understanding, I do not make the rules, it’s their policy. Feel free to let me know that you have concern of your package’s arrival, but please remember that we have to give it the above mentioned time in order to file the claim and that I can not do any tracking from my end, I see the same thing you do. I will be happy to file a claim for any package that does not arrive or if it arrives damaged. From the 1960s to 1990s. Marcel was undoubtedly a genius and was, as far as I know, the only Restorer for the Met without a PhD. In fact he had a sixth grade education. I worked with Marcel summers and in college. Marcel was an unquestioned expert in antiquities and all items in the collection from the ancient world are guaranteed to be authentic. Very Old Native American Indian Plains Wooden War Club Stone Head Leather Wrap
Item Type: Native American War Club. Item Description: A wood and leather (probably horse hide) wrapped American Indian War Club. It looks to have been used in battle. While the item looks and feels quite old, it does have a newer leather strap nailed to it. It is a mechanically made wire nail and therefore is from after 1913 when such nails were invented. However, the nail/leather while old, does not strike me as being as old as the rest of the item.
