Additional info: A rare Western Apache or Yavapai, willow and devil’s claw basket with a 3 rod foundation. Very tight and hard. Condition: Good for it’s age, normal wear and fading expected. Genuine Native American Navajo Indian headdress 36 inch “WESTERN PLAINS”. Native American Navajo 36 inch. Headdress by Buffy Sam. Both wall and table mounts for the headdresses are available. The wall mount is able to accommodate both types of headdresses (Bonnets and Double Trailers). Breast Plates Black Legend item # 231882532313, Beige item # 231154756509, and. Breast Plates and stands pictured are not included but may be ordered separately. This bonnet is completely hand made by at least two women of the Navajo People. They use high quality main feathers tipped with colorful fluffs and genuine horse hair. The feather quills are wrapped & hand sewn onto a felt skull cap and is completely covered in matching fluffs. In the back center of the bonnet rests a single decorated honor feather especially cut in the middle of the skull cap. A thick row of feather fluffs are aligned on top of the wraps. This is a very rare,’Big Feather’ sample cigar box label from Krueger & Braun. Circa 1900, a super image of a full-headdress Native American chief with a pipe flanked by images of other Native Americans, a stag, gun, tomahawk, arrows, etc. Has a mark from where a staple was near the bottom-left, from where it was probably removed from a sample book. There is an extremely tiny chip from the lower-left corner, a tiny bump to the top-left corner, and extremely tiny ding to the left-center edge. See my OTHER CIGAR LABELS. Original western plains Indian pipe tomahawk from the mid 1800’s. Ceremonial file branding all along the haft. Original forged iron traditional head. The blade and eye were forged together and the bowl was applied to the head. The blade and head show a nice natural patina. Exceptional quality Indian artifact of exceptional value. As rare as they come! 9.5 inches long head, 23 inches long haft. I inherited this artifact from my grandfather’s estate and I have decided to pass it along to someone who will enjoy it as much as my family and I have. I invite your questions and thoughts.
