Native American Indian Jeff Davis Rare Fetish Turquoise Frog Ring
NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN JEFF DAVIS RARE FETISH TURQUOISE FROG R ING. SIZE approximately is US 7 1/2. The description below helps describe this piece & the matching bracelet that is Signed Jeff Davis. The Squash Blossom Necklace didnt get signed but bought with the bracelet & ring that match & are signed. Look for ring listing. Very Excited to offer this Very Rare piece of (silver smithed) Signed Jeff Davis ZUNI Fetish Jewelry! He & his brothers Roy & Herbert were well known artists that carved Zuni Fetish pieces. Not much is known about Jeff Davis branching out as a Silver Smith & creating outstanding well made pieces like the one I have up for sale. Its so RARE it hasnt hit the Books yet as one book author put it to me. The silver looks to be sand cast. The Large Chunks of carved turquoise are Stunningly Beautiful! The design is Outstanding! Very well constructed & sturdy! Nice Heavy Chunky piece of Navajo Native American Indian Jewelry! I just love everything about this bracelet! I wish I knew more about this piece & when it was constructed. My guess is it was made in the 1970s. There are zero issues with the bracelet! Ill add the weight & dimensions soon along with anything else I find I want to add. More photos also to come. Please ask questions if there are any concerns. Please look over all available photos & if need be ask for more if needed. All my photos act also as part of my description of Condition & so forth. Ill be listing a matching Signed Turquoise Frog Ring for your consideration along with a UnSigned Magnificent Squash Blossom Turquoise Frog Necklace & a Small UnSigned Turquoise Frog stick Pin all separately. Large Southern California Mission Indian Boat Basket Native American As Is
Offered is an antique, good-sized California Native American Basket in an oval shape with what I believe is tan and red juncus over a sumac grass bundle foundation. This basket measures approx. 11″ by 4 1/2″. It is solid and the weaver used very tight stitches. Rubbed stitches on rim and throughout inside and outside basket, as well as two small insect holes in bottom inside of basket. These do not go all the way through the basket. This was a basket made for use and it shows some of its use over the years. Most of the items we sell come from our personal collection gathered over the years from our travels, from Native powwows and craft stores, antique shops, auctions and estate sales. Now that our kids are in college and beyond, we are letting some items go so others can enjoy them. Then I’ll send you a combined invoice. Sorry for the expense, but I’ve had items lost overseas when mailing first class and don’t want to take the risk of losing items. I pack carefully and try to reuse materials to save on environmental impact. I often double-box items with smaller gift boxes collected from various thrift stores. I reuse all that I receive and hope you will make use of the ones that come in your packages.
