Katherine Victorino is the daughter of Monroe Victorino Native Americans of the Acoma Pueblo, both renowned for their pottery. Katherine began making pottery at the age of 9 years old in 1977. She is renowned for her monochrome pottery with hints of the patterns found on Anasazi pottery. Katherine paints the pottery the “old way” and although she does butterfly, lightning, star fan and flower patterns among others, her best are the zig-zag pattern of this beautiful pottery bowl. Artist: Kenneth Joe (Acoma Pueblo). Dimensions: 6 1/4″ tall X 7 1/2″ Wide. Description: Black & White Hand coiled Olla with a Tularosa Swirl design painted around it! It has 2 repeating designs on each side. This piece is a very nice piece! Kenny hand coils all of his pottery and uses all natural materials for his paints. Kenny is half Navajo and half Laguna, but married into Acoma to Roxanne Victorino who is the daughter of Monroe Victorino and the step-daughter of Beverly Garcia Victorino.
