












Took me a while to figure out what I was looking at…. Native American Indian Effigy Artifact. Recovered in Floyd County Iowa. Measuring approximately 10 inches tall & about 7 inches wide, Its weight is 13 pounds. It is thought to have belonged to the mound builders who inhabited this area pre-1800’s, but that is only a guess. Some have said it looks like a petrified head and I’d tend to agree.
