“Black Eagle” BIG Limited to 100 prints, each print is hand numbered. The image is printed on mould-made, 100% cotton rag watercolor paper imported from France. The image size is 24×17.5 inches. The paper size is 30 x 22 inches. We use the same printer as the Museum of Fine Art in Boston. The image is printed “Giclee”. Giclee is a high-resolution digital print that is created by a series of tiny jets spraying millions of droplets of printing ink onto the highest quality archival artists’ paper. The spray generates more than four million droplets of ink per second; hence, the name Giclee, which is French for fine spray. A precise computer control panel insures consistency of hue, value, and density. Giclees are of such phenomenal quality that even some art experts have difficulty telling a Giclee from an original. This fact has prompted museums and collectors to substitute Giclees for originals, thereby safeguarding priceless works in vaults. Since the Giclee process produces a combination of 512 chromatic changes (with over three and one-half million colors possible) and the resolution is two to three times that of lithographs or serigraphy, a Giclee captures every nuance of an original. This is a Vintage Silver Native American Indian Turquoise and Carnelian Belt Buckle with a large turquoise stone that measures approximately 3/4″ inch across and a carnelian stone that measures approximately 1/2″ in diameter, featuring a flying or diving eagle. The buckle itself does not have any markings as to the silver, so I cannot say what the purity is. 3″ across and 2 1/2″ tall. It may have been worn, but appears to be in beautiful condition. Nbsp;Bronze Dimensions with Marble Base:Height 14″ x Width 10″ Marble Dimensions: 7 1/2″ X 6″ Height without base: 10 Weight :20 LBS Inventory : 41Y1409614 This is an exquisite bronze bust of a Native American warrior chief. He stares at the beholder, wild and bold, with an air of spiritual resilience. His hair is adorned with braids that are wrapped with strips of deer hide coated with a turquoise patina. A long feathernbsp; lost in the back of his hair stretches towards gravity also finished in a turquoise patina. He wears a bone breastplate which was a popular chest ornament or armor. Since the hair-pipe bones were difficult and expensive to obtain, the number of bones in the plate often indicated the wealth of a warrior. Nbsp; Such breastplates were worn on occasion in battle, but could be penetrated easily by an arrow or a bullet, so they were mainly a decorative or medicine item. The sculpture was molded using the archaic method of lost-wax casting with skin tones finished in a brown patina stain for perpetuation.
